Boat Houses

  • There are 6 old boathouses built of local stone along the eastern shore of Lough Leane and Muckross lake

  • All 6 boathouses are of architectural merit

​

  • All are used to store old historic boats owned by the state or used by the rowing clubs within KNP

​

  • Dundag boathouse holds the Queen’s barge and other historic boats
